Daily Weight Recorder Privacy Policy

Yuichiro Yoshioka has established this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of user information in the iOS app "Daily Weight Recorder" ("the App").

1. Information Collected or Handled

The App handles the following information entered or configured by users:

• Weight
• Body fat percentage
• Calories consumed
• Calories burned
• Optional notes and other user-entered information
• Goal settings, including target weight, target body fat percentage, weekly goals, and other related settings
• Notification settings
• App settings such as unit settings, display settings, lock settings, and iCloud sync settings

The App may also use the following information or statuses to provide its functionality:

• Notification permission status
• Device information related to biometric authentication availability
• Stored and synchronized data via CloudKit or other Apple-provided services when iCloud sync is enabled

In addition, the App uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) for ad delivery. In connection with this, device information, identifiers, usage data, and similar data may be collected and used by Google or its partners for ad delivery, ad performance measurement, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and other advertising-related functions provided by Google.

2. Purpose of Use

Yuichiro Yoshioka uses collected or handled information for the following purposes:

• Providing, maintaining, and improving the App
• Saving, displaying, editing, graphing, and analyzing recorded data
• Providing goal management and notification features
• Providing iCloud sync, export, and import features
• Saving user settings
• Investigating issues, improving quality, and providing support
• Ad delivery, ad performance measurement, ad optimization, and fraud prevention
• Responding to violations of the Terms of Use or unauthorized use

3. Where Data Is Stored

Data entered into the App is, in principle, stored on the user's device. If the user enables iCloud sync, such data may be stored and synchronized in the user's iCloud environment via CloudKit or other Apple-provided services.

If the user uses the export feature, the export destination is selected by the user. The user is responsible for managing the exported files at the chosen destination.

4. Third-Party Services

Yuichiro Yoshioka does not directly collect or store health records and similar data entered by users into the App on Yuichiro Yoshioka's own servers or systems.

Record data in the App is, in principle, stored on the user's device or synchronized through Apple services such as iCloud when enabled by the user.

However, the App uses third-party services such as Google AdMob, and those service providers may collect, use, or process certain data in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.

5. External Services

The App may use the following external services or standard OS features:

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit
• Apple UserNotifications
• Apple Face ID / Touch ID / device passcode authentication
• Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK)

The handling of information related to these services is also governed by the terms and policies established by their respective providers.

6. Biometric Authentication

The App may use Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode to protect access to the App. Biometric data itself is not stored by the App or on Yuichiro Yoshioka's servers. Authentication is performed through mechanisms provided by Apple.

7. Notifications

The App sends reminders and other notifications only if the user has configured them. Users can change notification permissions in their device settings. Delivery and display of notifications may be affected by the OS, device status, network conditions, and other factors.

8. Advertising

The App may display advertisements using Google AdMob. In connection with ad display, Google or its partners may collect and use data. This may include ad delivery, personalization, measurement, diagnostics, and fraud prevention.

9. Deletion of Data

Users may delete recorded data and settings through functions in the App or through device operations. If iCloud sync is enabled, it may take some time for deletions to be reflected in synchronized storage. Users are responsible for deleting exported files themselves.

10. Use by Minors

If minors use the App, they should do so with the consent of a parent or guardian when necessary.

11. Medical Information and Advice

The App is a general-purpose tool for recording and visualizing health-related information and does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice. Important health-related decisions should be made in consultation with a physician or other qualified professional.

12. Security Management

Yuichiro Yoshioka strives to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, loss, and similar issues regarding the information handled by the App. However, there is no guarantee against damages arising from device loss, insufficient user management, issues caused by the OS or external services, communication environment problems, or failures of iCloud or export destinations.

13. Revisions

Yuichiro Yoshioka may revise this Privacy Policy when necessary. If there are important changes, users will be notified within the App or on a distribution page or similar location.
